Morito Suganuma Shihan (Aikikai 8th Dan) is the founder and Director of Aikido Shoheijuku and was the last uchideshi (live-in student) of Aikido's Founder, Morihei Ueshiba.

Suganuma Sensei was sent to Fukuoka in 1970 to be the Aikikai's Shihan (master) in charge of the Kyushu District, Southwestern Japan, where he founded Aikido Shoheijuku, which is affiliated with Aikikai Foundation, the Aikido World Headquarters.
